We recommend booking as far in advance as possible, especially for peak season (December–April) and holiday weeks. That said, we occasionally have last-minute availability — it's always worth reaching out.

As a general rule we do not allow pets at Mi Sueño, as we want to ensure the best experience for all guests and maintain the condition of the property. That said, we understand every situation is different and are open to discussing exceptions depending on the circumstances. Please reach out and we'll do our best to accommodate where possible.

Meals are not automatically included but are highly recommended. Our house staff can prepare fresh, traditional Salvadoran breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily — giving you a true taste of local cuisine without leaving the property. Meal packages can be arranged when you inquire.

Getting There & Around

Absolutely. We can arrange a wide range of experiences including San Salvador city tours, visits to nearby surf towns like El Zonte, El Sunzal, Mizata, El Tunco, and La Libertad, volcano and crater lake tours, surf lessons, and more. Just let us know your interests and we'll put together the perfect itinerary.

Citizens of the United States, Canada, the European Union, and many other countries do not require a visa to enter El Salvador for tourism stays up to 90 days. We recommend confirming entry requirements with your country's foreign affairs department before travel, as policies can change.

El Salvador has undergone a remarkable security transformation in recent years and is now considered one of the safer destinations in Central America. The Bahia Dorada community where Mi Sueño is located is a private, gated beach community — peaceful and welcoming. As with any international travel, we recommend standard common-sense precautions and checking your government's current travel advisory before departure.

El Salvador uses the US Dollar (USD) as its official currency, which makes it very convenient for American travelers. Major credit cards are accepted at most restaurants and shops; smaller local businesses may prefer cash.
